Why Read This Report

This report outlines the skills and staffing needs for Forrester's solution for security and risk (S&R) and infrastructure and operations (I&O) executives working on mobile security and operations strategy. We designed this report to help S&R and I&O executives act on skills and staffing: As CIOs look to engage with their customers, partners, and employees through mobile applications, they're also rethinking the technology organization's role, responsibilities, and skill sets. CIOs are building out mobile architecture teams that span multiple IT functions, including enterprise architecture, application development and delivery, and sourcing and vendor management. But serving as the foundation of this team is a new function that bridges I&O and S&R. This report defines the responsibilities of mobile operations and security professionals and discusses the primary and secondary competencies candidates must bring to the table as they look to join the mobile architecture team.
