Microsoft wasn't front and centre when they introduced Windows, either. They won over the technological masses first and then infiltrated the enterprise. It has been a very good strategy for them. Apple *could* get into the enterprise but probably won't because: 1. cost-conscious purchasers won't pay the 30%+ premium as compared to Dell desktops 2. No one will trust Apple to stay the course on long term support for the Enterprise 3. The software does not and will not exist However, I agree that the very large consumer electonics market had better watch out.
