The PowerPC chip and BSD, internet protocols are hardly closed or non-industry standards, Jobs has embraced standards where needed but proves that innovation, elegant and ergonomic design, and outstanding user (User) interfaces do count for something and maybe worth a slight premium. They also serve to push Bill and company when needed and keeps them intellectually ¿honest¿.
