Apple is already making great progress towards the iPod inspired phone, video and digital cameras that you mention. The iLife suite of software includes not only the famous iTunes, but also iPhoto, iMovie and iDVD (not to mention GarageBand). Those programs make handling digital photography and videos simple enough for my technophobic wife to enjoy. There is probably no plan for an Apple digital camera - we have used our iPhoto with several different brands of cameras with great success. All we have to do is plug in the USB cable and click Import. Apple does offer some great photo processing options - very useful and easy to use. With regard to the phone, I am excited about the possibiliites offered by Bluetooth capabilities of new Macs and the vCard standard based Address Book and vCalendar standard based iCal. Within a year, I hope to be able to use iSync (another cool tool that gets little attention) to keep my phone synched just like I am already doing with my desktop, my wife's iPod and three laptops. No more days of entering my contacts because I accidentally went for a swim with my phone in my swim suit pocket! This message was a reply Posted by George Colony on May 11, 2004
