Interesting reading.
Some people become interesting by virtue of what they do and some are thrust into the limelight by what they achieve. That's Bill Gates and Steve Jobs in contrast.
He has been written off so many times and keeps on bouncing back with another bright idea and a product/service that catches the attention of everyone around. This cycle repeats itself with consistency.
One of the paradigms that he needs to address for a place in history is to make his ideas "open" rather than continue down the path of I have an idea and I don't care who else agrees with it or whether it will collaborate with others.
The impact on Enterprise will remain minimal since his focus has more been towards the individualistic needs that is driven by his maverick ideas.
