Business Enhancement Technology?

I think the assertion that the term "Information Technology" is an artifact of a bygone era and needs to be replaced is perfectly valid. Since as George so eloquently argues, technology has become part of the substrate of business, the term "Business TEchnology" appears to be a good candidate.

My only beef is that the term business technology may not be able to distinguish what is now called IT from industry-specific core technologies (eg. turbine technology or nuclear fission or DNA splicing technology or whatever) which will have a perfectly legitimate case for being crowned as the "business technology" (in that specific industry of course).

So I suggest something along the following lines:
Business Effectiveness Technology
Business Performance TEchnology
Business Enhancement Technology
