What you are suggesting is that automation of business processes just keeps getting bigger (some of it better) to the point that the interdependence is almost inextricable. BT certainly places technology on a pedestal. Well deserved. However, if the business of business is business, it is equally important that it retain focus on the human factor. Someone here mentioned that a telecom major with the same name is reputed for bad service, poor quality. Personally, I believe it is best that technology remain below the hood, where it belongs. Especially when we migrate in the future into "smart dust" and embedded technology. I would recommend that technology focus on the user; the business should naturally do well, then.
