Just as IT is outmoded, so is "consumer electronics." Electronics sounds like something my uncle liked to tinker with in 1963.
Connections are transforming consumer experiences the same way they transform businesses. Electronics devices are sprouting Net connections like crazy.
So let's call this the consumer technology business, and acknowledge that in the new world, Sony, Microsoft, Yahoo!, Cisco, and Comcast are all competing for supremacy.
