BT and IT Services

I think the term Business Technology is more appropriate than ever.
With swings towards service oriented architecture and IT Service Management, renaming reinforces the concept that we are delivering IT services (not products or technical infrastructure) to a business which then delivers to a consumer.
IT is part of the total value chain that supports the business. Renaming to "Business Technology" may help drive the paradigm shift to both IT and the business to reinforce the partnership.
I, for one, am happy to spread the term "business technology" concept in my IT Service Management classes.
