IT to BT transformation

Hi George,
It is indeed a pleasant surprise for me seeing this topic at your site ! In fact, I already informally proposed to change the term "IT" for "BT" in my IT (i.e. BT) Management classes at East West University for the last two semesters in the Masters Program.
I found BT more natural and intuitive to clarify my points in the class. I completely agree with you that the Technology is no more just managing the Information. It is now ALL about managing the Business. "Information" is the "Business" now. And the term "Business" should be taken in a "generic" way, be it a large organization's activity or be it a personal task.
As Norton & Kaplan noted in their famous "Strategy Maps" book, for any "business" we should be asking the following fundamental questions before delving into technology details:
1. Why Should We Exist ?
2. What's important to Us ?
3. What We Want to Be ?
4. What will be our Game Plan ?
With the good old term IT, I can not always remember these basic questions. But BT inherently helps me to remind the basics / fundamentals of Business first, and Technology details later; which we "IT experts" often fail to reconcile :-).
So ... Viva BT !! Good-Bye IT !! :-).
