Enterprise Technology (ET)

IT to BT is definitely thought provoking. As BT has become synonymous with Bio Technology, replacing IT with BT will lead to lots of confusions. I would propose to give a try with Enterprise Technology (ET).
Once IT becomes ET then CIO will be Chief Enterprise Technologist (CET). And as Enterprise means Venture, project, endeavor, activity etc even the government can adapt Enterprise Technology.
East or West ET is the best!!!
