Hi George,
'Business Technology', Yes ! would be most appropriate term to rename 'IT'.
However, story goes beyond this. In today's landscape, an Idea till implemented is already Obsolete. So while we debate on renaming IT to Business Technology (BT), BT must be busy somewhere helping an organization / Individual from a different perspective.
example. Helping XYZ Corp to built 'ROBOTS' with artificial intelligence which may be deployed in future armies to replace human soldier
Then, will it be appropriate to term this 'Defense Technology' ?
'RELEVANCE' is the key. So when we debate change IT to BT, we should also be agile enough to transform BT to
