Research Focus

Bill serves Sourcing & Vendor Management professionals, with primary research responsibility for sourcing strategies of applications and business processes. In this role, Bill advises sourcing and vendor management executives on successful outsourcing and service management strategies involving both global and offshore/nearshore providers.

Previous Work Experience

Bill has more than 15 years of experience in technology and business consulting. He came to Forrester with the acquisition of Giga Information Group. At Giga, Bill was responsible for a variety of sourcing research topics, including managed services, IT outsourcing, and hosting.

Prior to joining Giga, Bill was an analyst at Hurwitz Group, where he was responsible for all services-related coverage, including managed applications services. Prior to Hurwitz Group, Bill worked at CSC Index, where he directed research for a multiclient program for application delivery executives. Prior to that, he was director of research for New Science Associates, a research firm acquired by Gartner Group in 1993.

Bill has written numerous groundbreaking reports on service delivery issues and trends and has delivered many well-received presentations on a variety of topics, including successful applications outsourcing and business process outsourcing strategies. He has been quoted frequently in both industry and business publications, including BusinessWeek, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Investor's Business Daily, and the Financial Post.

Education

Bill earned a B.S. in speech from Northwestern University.
