Carlton serves eBusiness & Channel Strategy professionals. His research and expertise help eBusiness leaders across multiple industries address some of their most difficult business challenges. In addition to researching best practices in online strategy, Carlton specializes in how emerging markets, technologies, and channels are driving change within the healthcare industry. He is an experienced speaker on these topics, appearing at events such as America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Institute, the Consumer-Centric Healthcare Congress, and the Consumer-Directed Healthcare (CDHC) Expo. Carlton’s research and opinions have been regularly quoted in the media, including The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, E-Commerce Times, Managed Care Magazine, and Inside Consumer-Directed Care.
Before joining Forrester, Carlton spent several years as a practitioner in the IT and eBusiness fields. Most recently, as senior project manager of business consulting and eBusiness strategy at Tufts Health Plan, he led technology strategy initiatives, managed vendor relationships, and oversaw the implementation of several eBusiness solutions targeting all health plan constituents. He is a former chair of the Massachusetts Health Data Consortium's Internet Professionals Forum and member of the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX).
Carlton holds a B.S. in civil engineering management from the University of Vermont.
