Date of survey:  March 2001
Region:  North America
Respondents:  10,000

Forrester conducted an online survey of 10,000 members of Greenfield Online's panel of North American consumers. Greenfield fielded the survey in December 2000 and motivated panelists by entering them in a drawing for one prize of $250, one of two prizes of $50, one of 100 $15 prizes, one of 525 $10 prizes, or one of 1,580 $5 prizes. Forrester weighted the data by age, sex, income, education, country, and online tenure to demographically represent the online adult population of North America. For results based on a randomly chosen sample of this size (N=10,000), there is 95% confidence that the results have a statistical precision of plus or minus 1% of what they would be if the entire adult online population of North American consumers had been polled.
