|---|---|
| Product: | Asia Pacific Consumer Technographics |
| Date of survey: | December 2007 |
| Region: | Asia Pacific |
| Respondents: | 6,558 |
Forrester Research conducted a survey of 6,558 consumers ages 18 and older in Japan, South Korea, Australia, metropolitan China (including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, and Xian ), and metropolitan India (Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Chennai) using a combination of phone, in-person, and online methodologies. The data in Japan, South Korea, and metropolitan China was collected using a random digit dial (RDD) method; the data in India was collected via in-person surveys; and the data in Australia was collected using an online methodology. Forrester Research weighted the data by age, gender, and geographical distribution to be representative of the adult population in each country or region surveyed. The survey was fielded between October and November 2007. For metropolitan China, metropolitan India, South Korea, and Japan, for results based on a randomly chosen sample of this size (N=1,000), there is 95% confidence that the results have a statistical precision of plus or minus 3.1% for each country individually. And for Australia, for results based on a randomly chosen sample of N=1,900, there is 95% confidence that the results have a statistical precision of plus or minus 2.2%. Please note that vast differences within the region require that the data not be interpreted on an aggregate level for Asia Pacific as a whole.
