Although Embarcadero's DSAuditor does not top the features and functionality race, it offers a well-balanced solution at a low price. Embarcadero has good support for database auditing, monitoring, and audit repository management, but lacks strong support for applications, intelligent auditing, and predefined policies. As native database management system (DBMS) auditing solutions continue to expand their auditing features and functionality, and as the market consolidates, Embarcadero is likely to face pressure, which it would have to address through innovation and integrating DSAuditor with other Embarcadero products like DBArtisian and ER/Studio.
