Hello Council members,
The buckets of rain currently soaking the Northeast only heighten my considerable withdrawal from our recent spring member meeting in Naples. It was great to have so many of you attend the meeting and share your experiences and best practices with one another. We look forward to seeing you all at our fall meeting in Chicago on
October 23, 2006, in conjunction with Forrester's Consumer Forum 2006. Be sure to pencil in the meeting on your calendars now!
The presentations from our sessions can be found on the Council landing page in the Member Library, and a summary from the meetings will be posted in the Member Library in the coming days.
If you were not able to attend the member meeting but would like to discuss the content with either Jonah or me, please let me know.
Members Helping Members: Loyalty Vendor Selection
As a follow-up from one of our member meeting sessions, a Council member is interested in speaking with others who have experience working with loyalty vendors, such as Carlson, Maritz, and Loyalty Builders. If you are willing and able to discuss your loyalty vendor dealings with a fellow member, please let me know.
Members Helping Members: In-House Versus Outsourced Cost Ratios
A member embarking on what is effectively a relaunch of his company's customer database is grappling with the decision to significantly increase head count on his team and build in-house versus outsourcing the database. He would love to hear from others who have made a similar decision in recent years. Of particular interest are the cost ratios used to build the business case (e.g., it was X times less expensive to build in-house versus outsourcing). Please let me now if you have thoughts on this topic. Your input would be greatly appreciated!
