People Are Talking . . .
. . . and that's a good thing. As the old saying goes, a problem shared is a problem halved. I've had the pleasure to host many member-to-member calls recently. I'm thrilled to see so many of you reaching out to your Council peers to share experiences and swap ideas.

If you haven't interacted with another member recently, please email me at jbruton@forrester.com and let me know what's on your mind. I'd be happy to get you in touch with another Council member to help tackle some of your thorny issues.

Hello all,

While the weatherman promises that spring is just around the corner, I'm having a hard time believing him with all the snow on the ground in Boston. Cold days like these really get me looking forward to seeing all of you at the upcoming May member meeting in Florida. Please keep an eye out for details on this Event.

In the meantime, I wanted to remind you about the "Managing The Analytics Skills Gap/Learning Curve" CouncilTel on Thursday, March 24, at 1 p.m. Eastern time. Forrester's Keith Gile will kick off a group discussion on best practices for managing analytic applications and their users within large corporations. RSVP and let me know if you plan to join us.

Questions to consider before the Council discussion:

  • How have you dealt with the issues of too much data and too few resources to effectively mine your data for information?
  • Do you currently have a process in place to profile end users of information to ensure maximum adoption of marketing applications?
  • Are you interested in or responsible for developing marketing information dashboards (i.e., proactive, near-time data pushed to business users)? If so, what progress have you made in implementing this capability? What difficulties do you face?
As always, if you have any questions, need assistance with a project, or would just like to bounce an idea off another Council member, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am here to help!
