Forrester Wave: eDetailing, Q4 '05 The Forrester Wave™: eDetailing, Q4 2005

Pharma and life sciences marketers see eDetails -- industry-created online promotional programs designed to inform medical professionals about drugs, devices, or disease states -- as a cost-effective way to influence busy MDs who have tight schedules. We evaluated the leading eDetailers across 35 criteria and found that Medsite and Graphic Details lead the field with strong analytics, production value, and clear growth strategies. Other vendors included in the evaluation were Aptilon, Lathian, Physicians Interactive, closerlook, and marketRx.

Age-Based Healthcare Marketing Gets An Upgrade

Healthcare marketers should know that there is much more to age-band segmentation than just differences in socioeconomics, epidemiology, or healthcare utilization and costs. In this free highlight of our latest Data Overview, Healthcare's Age Myths Debunked: Consumer Technographics® North America, we briefly explore generational differences that extend to lifestyle, technology adoption, health activity, and health attitudes. These differences help predict how consumers of different ages manage their health and interact with healthcare organizations.

Who Is Picking CDHP Plans?

The growth of CDHPs -- increasingly offered alongside HMO and PPO products -- has prompted our clients to ask us how CDHP members compare with their commercially insured counterparts. In this Client Choice document, we reveal the demographic and attitudinal characteristics of this quality- and cost-conscious cohort. They are similar in age and gender to other plan participants but are more affluent and educated. They are also more likely to have researched a specific medical condition, a specific medication, and provider cost and quality information.

10 Steps To Pharma Structured Product Labeling Success

The FDA's new format requirements for drug labeling are here. In the weeks leading up to the November 1 deadline, we outlined the 10 steps pharma should take to move contracted SPL labeling know-how in-house, model SPL adoption costs accurately, and keep technology options open. We also delved into SPL best practices in Pharma Strategies To Meet SPL Deadline. To make early SPL conversion projects deliver better content publishing processes long term, pharma firms should use SPL compliance work as an opportunity to clean up outdated content publishing processes and technology and align stakeholder goals across teams that share published content.
