      Co-Creating With Your Services Partners

Creating and sustaining innovation with services providers is a key priority for many Sourcing & Vendor Management (SVM) Professionals. Yet most services relationships quickly default to "business as usual" activities. A small number of leading SVM organizations are moving their services relationships in a new direction — toward highly strategic, co-creation relationships. This session will help you define your own innovation objectives — and capitalize on the opportunity to co-create with suppliers. It will help you understand:

      • The models of innovation that you can expect from your leading services providers.
      • How to define your own innovation objectives.
      • What it means to co-innovate with suppliers.

You can leverage the principles of marketing management to ensure the optimization of your supplier portfolio and to monitor and assess key challenges. This session will also explore:

      • The core principles of a category management model.
      • How to classify your suppliers as strategic and nonstrategic — and how to offer a benefits and incentives scheme to your top suppliers.

How To Cut Oracle And SAP Maintenance Costs By 50% With Third-Party Support

Industry analysts agree: you are spending too much on Oracle and SAP annual maintenance and receiving limited value. Ongoing maintenance costs typically consume two-thirds of IT budgets. Despite the high cost, software vendor support model is outdated and does not address the majority of issues impacting your mature enterprise software, your customized code.  Even worse, companies have to perform expensive upgrades just to stay supported.  This session will review how several leading companies used third-party support to cut costs, get better service, reduce risk and fund innovation, and give you a template for taking this savings back to your organization.
