Job Description For The Content-Oriented Information Architect

    Why Read This Report

As organizations formalize their information architecture (IA) practices, Forrester expects the mission of IA to crystallize. Put simply, the value of IA is that it enables the delivery of the right information in the appropriate context to the stakeholders who need it. Today, most organizations have separate IA practices for data and for content, with different organizational models, responsibilities, and methodologies. Going forward, Forrester recommends content-oriented information architects work more closely with data architects to share definition, maintenance, and governance processes. In this report, based on interviews with 12 full-time content-oriented IAs and a sampling of actual job postings, we identify the skills and experience that companies should look for when hiring the next generation of content-oriented information architects.
