Kurt Bittner

Kurt Bittner is a leading expert on Agile and iterative software development approaches, including application life-cycle management (ALM). He focuses on the organizational and cultural shifts necessary to extract broader business value from software development processes. He is based in Boulder, Colorado.

Previous Work Experience

Kurt comes to Forrester from the consulting firm Ivar Jacobson International, where he was CTO—Americas, and worked for more than five years guiding Fortune 100 companies in their Agile transformation journeys. In prior roles, he played a leadership role in IBM's Jazz Platform strategy, led requirements tool strategy and development for Rational Software, and led the early development of the Rational Unified Process. As a consultant, he has helped many hundreds of organizations improve the results achieved by their development teams.

An accomplished public speaker, Kurt has presented at many conferences, and is the author of three books, including The Economics of Iterative Software Development, as well as numerous papers and articles
