Vice President of New Products & Strategic Alliances
As Vice President of New Products & Strategic Alliances at Infogroup, Marcus Schmidt is responsible for creating products and services that complement Infogroup's market-leading database and direct marketing products and services. He's specifically focused on new market opportunities such as social media, mobile devices, data-as-a-service, and integrated CRM solutions. For many of these new opportunities, he fosters strategic alliances with other industry-leading companies.
Before joining Infogroup, Mr. Schmidt was at Microsoft for nearly 13 years in various marketing and product management roles across a wide range of products and services. In his last position at Microsoft, he was Senior Marketing Manager and Community Manager in the Windows Business Group. In that role, he was responsible for social media listening, outreach, and building a vibrant consumer community around some of the world's most widely used products – Windows and Windows Live.
A native of South Dakota, Mr. Schmidt received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering as well as his Master of Science degree in industrial management from the South Dakota State University.
