She was also a market intelligence manager at American Power Conversion (APC), where she was responsible for the analysis of macroeconomic and tech industry trends, competitive landscape, and brand perception. Prior to that, Masami was a consultant at Price Waterhouse Consultants (now part of IBM).

Masami holds an M.B.A. and a master's degree in international economics.
