SVM professionals have to engage with business executives to turn their expectations into valued deliverables. Clearly understanding business expectations will enable the SVM professional to build and run an SVM organization that constantly delivers value, is trusted by the business stakeholders, and matches the business' needs with suppliers' delivery capabilities.
