Michael serves Application Development & Delivery Professionals and helps lead an Asia Pacific team that guides business technology professionals seeking insight and strategies to better leverage IT to deliver business value. Michael's coverage focuses primarily on disruptive trends in enterprise IT, including cloud computing, big data and analytics, collaboration and end user computing, virtualization, and social computing in the enterprise.
Michael focuses his research on application professionals, but his research also draws the interest of CIOs and other business technology professionals. His views on the Asian IT market are commonly cited in prominent publications and broadcast media, and he is a highly sought-after speaker at industry events throughout the world.
Michael has 20 years of IT experience and joined Forrester through its acquisition of Springboard Research. Prior to Springboard, he led software infrastructure and application integration research in Asia Pacific for Gartner, advising large organizations on strategies for sourcing, implementing, and managing enterprise applications and software technologies. He previously conducted software research and implementation at Meta Group, Hurwitz Group, and Prudential Insurance.
Michael holds a master's degree in economics from Northeastern University.
