Forrester evaluated leading user account provisioning vendors across 125 criteria and found that Sun Microsystems is a market leader for a reason — its product delivers superior provisioning functionality with the highest ease of use. BMC Software offers the most attractive vision of provisioning that aligns closely with its overall corporate strategy. IBM and CA, followed by Novell, also appear in the Leaders category. Thor Technologies' Xellerate Identity Manager is one to watch: It is highly functional, and its recent acquisition by Oracle will allow Thor to scale to match its competition.
