Executive Summary (This is a document excerpt)

Young online consumers of either gender have a huge variety of gaming equipment and are increasingly playing games online. Our recent survey of 2,416 online consumers aged 12 to 17 reveals that young males in particular are drawn to gaming — a majority even prefers playing games to watching TV. As we approach the release of next-generation game consoles like the Xbox 360, young consumers are well informed and eager to get their hands on the new equipment.
