with Caroline Hoekendijk, Andrea Carini

Executive Summary (This is a document excerpt)

We tracked an equal number of outsourcing deals in the financial and public sectors in the third quarter of this year. Business process outsourcing surged for the second consecutive quarter, whereas infrastructure outsourcing declined. Ten-year deals reappeared, but those deals remained low in value. IBM and EDS signed three €1 billion-plus contracts in total, accounting for 75% of the €7 billion in outsourcing deals reported.
