EMEA IT Outsourcing Deals, Q3 2006

This is the third document in the "2006 EMEA IT Outsourcing Deals" series.

by Andrew Parker

with Caroline Hoekendijk, Euan Davis, Onica King

Executive Summary (This is a document excerpt)

With 74 deals closed and approximately €6.5 billion spent on outsourcing in EMEA, Q3 2006 revealed outsourcing as we are used to it — albeit with a couple of exceptions. The usual suspects were back: The government and financial services sectors took joint first position in the number of deals signed; UK firms were even more active than ever before, and Germany was the solid runner-up. One big surprise in this quarter was that deals focusing on application development and maintenance outpaced deals for infrastructure outsourcing. Atos Origin closed the highest number of deals, and CSC scored the highest aggregated deal value.
