This is the fifth document in the "Status Of SOA And Web Services Specifications" series.

Executive Summary (This is a document excerpt)

Web services adoption continues, but it is taking a long time to work out all of the specifications and standards. According to data from recent Forrester surveys, among the specifications for process flow, modeling, and delivery control, WS-BPEL, WS-Addressing, and WS-ReliableMessaging have the strongest vendor support. Users are highly interested in WS-BPEL but as yet have done relatively little with it. WS-Choreography has among the lowest levels of support of any of the specs in our vendor survey, although it ranks a little bit higher on the list of user interests.
