Executive Summary (This is a document excerpt)

Forrester tracked 94 IT outsourcing deals with a deal value of €10 million or more in Q4 2006. We interviewed 17 vendors active in EMEA. Q4 showed more megadeals than any of the previous four quarters, which resulted in a substantial aggregate deal value for the quarter of €15.9 billion. In parallel, the survey showed a shift in deal length and size toward longer and larger deals. Help desk and support services showed impressive growth and outpaced the demand for other services. The government and public sector won the battle for sector leadership. Although we tracked deals from 19 different countries, the largest share of the deals still occurred in the UK, followed by Germany and the Netherlands.
