The core of MKS's application life-cycle management (ALM) platform is its software change and configuration management (SCCM) solution, MKS Integrity. In recent years, MKS has begun building on top of MKS Integrity support for additional life-cycle activities like requirements management and test management. While investing in these adjacent areas, however, MKS has not done enough to enhance its SCCM capabilities; MKS's SCCM plans are quite tactical, and the most ambitious planned enhancements have been in the works since 2005. MKS Integrity's strengths include support for remote SCCM, security, and reporting and analytics. Its main weakness is scalability across multiple repositories: Customers report that sharing of data and assets between repositories is not supported out of the box. MKS customers also report that implementing MKS Integrity requires far more programming of triggers than the vendor advertises.
