January 11, 2008 The Belgian Market Is Enthusiastic For India's Brand Of Offshore OutsourcingThis is the third document in the "Indian Providers' Capabilities In Continental Europe" series. by Stephanie Moore with Andrew Parker, Christine Ferrusi Ross, Allison Thresher Executive Summary (This is a document excerpt)Belgian companies are increasingly interested in using Indian/offshore resources for their IT and business process outsourcing (BPO) needs. While some prefer to rely on European or global multinational firms for these needs, this tendency seems to be significantly less pronounced in Belgium than in countries like Italy, France, or Germany. Indeed, Belgian clients seem to be more focused on a provider's vertical and technical expertise than on how many locals it employs. Some Indian providers report that Belgian clients are actually rebelling against their incumbent providers and insisting on going "direct to India." To help companies understand Indian provider capabilities in Belgium, Forrester has examined the top six Indian providers' activities in Belgium. Forrester reviewed each provider's revenue, infrastructure investments, human resource strategies, and client engagements. Although working with Indian providers in an offshore model is more of a struggle for non-English-speaking clients, those experimenting with going direct to India seem to be having some success. At least three of the top six have already made significant inroads into the Belgian market. Buy Risk-FreeDownload and print PDF immediately.
