The Forrester Wave: eSourcing |
Duncan Jones |
eSourcing products help buyers run on-line sourcing events ranging from simple RFIs to complex reverse auctions with multiple tender lines. Many vendors support related processes such as supplier discovery and evaluation before the event, and contract award afterwards, but the Wave will not evaluate these areas, because they are covered separately. The Forrester Wave process will analyze vendors' using formal decision criteria within three broad categories: Current Offering, Strategy, and Market Presence. Current offering will include supplier discovery and assessment, event planning and management, bidder support, sourcing decision support, and underlying technology.

The Forrester Wave: Human Resource Management Systems, Q4 2008 |
Paul Hamerman |
This is an update to "The Forrester Wave™: Human Resource Management Systems, Q3 2006" report. Virtually any company with more than 100 employees should have an automated system in place to effectively manage employee records and people-related processes. Personnel-related costs represent the one of the largest expense item in most business types. The mission-critical nature of the HRMS is based on being able to manage personnel costs, operate efficient business processes, comply with regulations and manage legal exposures, and optimize the value of human capital. Forrester will evaluate eight HRMS solutions across about 75 criteria.
