Research FocusDavid is responsible for global research teams that develop Forrester's offerings for Sourcing & Vendor Management and Security & Risk professionals. In Europe, he manages Forrester's IT research business unit. During his five years at Forrester, David's previous roles have included leading research, consulting, and client services in EMEA, and managing European technology research. Previous Work ExperiencePrior to joining Forrester, David was head of analysis and forecasting at British Telecom (BT), the UK's largest fixed telecoms provider, where he led a team of strategic analysts and financial analysts in advising BT Retail's executive team. He has also been managing director of a small UK-based software company and worked in the public sector in Brussels and Maastricht. As the head of Forrester's IT research in Europe, David is the executive sponsor of Forrester's annual IT Forum in EMEA. He is a regular speaker at industry events, including the European CIO Summit, and has presented research about Green IT to members of the World Economic Forum. David's views on technology have been featured in publications such as the Financial Times and Le Monde, and in broadcast media such as the BBC and CNN. EducationDavid holds a Ph.D. from Cambridge University in applied game theory and decision theory. In 1998, he was a research fellow at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School; the following year, he studied as a research associate at the Harvard Business School. He has published several articles on negotiation theory and is a co-author of "Negotiation Analysis: The Science And Art Of Collaborative Decision Making," published by Harvard University Press.
