Sonoko Takahashi

Research Focus
Sonoko primarily contributes to Forrester's offerings for the Strategy professional. She is a leading expert on European IT services and outsourcing trends, and also researches convergence trends of IT and telecom. As part of this coverage, Sonoko also looks at offshore outsourcing opportunities.In her research, Sonoko covers IT services-related topics as the adoption, spending, and plans of IT services like application management services and infrastructure services as well how these trends impact marketing and strategy for service providers. In the past, she has written about European IT services spending and IT budgets of enterprises and small and medium-size businesses (SMBs).
Previous Work Experience
In her previous position, Sonoko served as a researcher at Forrester. In that role, she interviewed hundreds of executives on topics such as IT services negotiation, offshore outsourcing, and outsourcing satisfaction. Sonoko has also contributed to research on a range of technology topics, including enterprise apps, security configuration, and RFID.
Education
Sonoko graduated from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, with a MSc. in technology, policy, and management (Ir.). She is native in Dutch and Japanese.
