Research FocusNatalie serves Infrastructure & Operations professionals. She is a leading expert on client virtualization, client security, and client management. Specifically, she focuses on next-generation computing architectures and the technologies that help enterprises manage and secure their current computing environment. Natalie advises Forrester clients on technology investments and best practices around desktop and application virtualization, PC security, and PC life-cycle management. In her research, Natalie covers management-related topics such as OS migration, software deployment, patch management, vulnerability management, asset inventory, and application virtualization and security-related topics such as encryption, personal firewall, host intrusion prevention, and Windows Vista security. Previous Work ExperiencePrior to her current role, Natalie was an analyst with Forrester's security team, conducting interviews with IT executives to understand their IT strategies and buying behaviors. Prior to her work as an analyst, Natalie served as a senior research associate on the security, industry economics and data, and computing systems research teams. As a research associate, she interviewed hundreds of executives on topics like open source, networking equipment, security products, and enterprise IT security practices. She also conducted quantitative analysis of firms' adoption of various technologies. Natalie has been widely quoted in the press, including business media outlets such as The Associated Press, the Financial Times, The New York Times, USA Today, Time Magazine, and The Wall Street Journal and industry media outlets such as Computerworld, InformationWeek, InfoWorld, and NetworkWorld. In addition, Natalie has also appeared on several television news outlets, including CNBC and Reuters TV. Natalie regularly speaks at Forrester's events on behalf of clients and at industry events.
