We have storage management challenges that storage virtualization addresses directly. We are looking to gain insight into the industry with wide opinions regarding the maturity and adoption levels of the major vendor storage virtualization products (such as IBM SVC, Hitachi USP-V/VSP, EMC Invista, etc.). With that in mind, our main concerns are:

1. Is the IT industry adopting the use of storage virtualization?

2. If so, which virtualization models are the most popular and why? (For example: appliance, controller, switch type products, etc.).

3. What is the overall feeling of success after the implementation of these products for those companies using them?
