Unisys has continued to evolve its hosted data center offerings and, along with many other vendors, rebranded to take advantage of rising customer interest in "private cloud." Unisys' offering is differentiated and underpinned by its own information security solution, "Stealth." Despite providing potentially significant business value, Unisys has so far struggled to gain broad customer interest in Stealth - either packaged as part of its private cloud offering or as a standalone product. Nonetheless, Springboard Research believes Unisys is a vendor worthy of consideration, particularly as a "full-service" solution provider for private cloud initiatives. While its capabilities remain variable throughout the Asia Pacific region, customers with an existing high level of operational maturity and complex security requirements may find Unisys a particularly attractive competitive option relative to larger "name brands."
