Summary

The forces of digital revolution have reached critical mass, threatening every incumbent firm in every industry. The 750 executives who gathered in Chicago in November 2013 for Forrester's Forum For eBusiness & Channel Strategy Professionals heard from digital leaders at top firms who are making bold moves to transform their companies. Each of their firms faced a fundamental challenge to its business model in the last few years — and for each, digital has been core to the firm's response. Domino's Pizza, for example, transformed its business with marketing that takes cues from social media and with digital innovations like an ordering platform that generated more than $1 billion in US sales last year. Ticketmaster responded to digitally powered upstarts like StubHub by disrupting itself with its own secondary ticket marketplace, TM Plus. Allied Irish Banks — nearly killed by the global financial crisis five years ago — chose to transform itself into a digital bank and refocus on customers with a propensity to use digital channels.
