Summary

In September 2014, we published our 40-criteria Forrester Wave evaluation of 11 application programming interface (API) management solutions vendors: 3scale, Apigee, Axway, CA Technologies, IBM, Informatica, Intel Services, MuleSoft, SOA Software, Tibco, and WSO2. The findings showed how well each vendor fulfilled the breadth and depth of our criteria. In this report, we describe three alternate buying scenarios and customize our evaluation of API management solutions to test how the vendors' solutions perform under new decision parameters. The results show how API management leaders can change with different buying priorities. This analysis will help application development and delivery (AD&D) professionals select the right partner for their API management needs.
