As soon as competition from pure-play Indian vendors began to affect global IT service vendors' bottom line, the global players started to publicize their offshore outsourcing capability. At first, the global vendors were more focused on the marketing message than on the delivery itself. Today, however, they have realized that Indian vendors are not a flash in the pan but a catalyst for fundamental and permanent change in the IT services market. Accenture, in particular, has adapted itself to the changing IT services landscape and appears to be exploiting, for itself and its customers, the true essence of a global delivery model.
