by Michael Rasmussen

Executive Summary

After you've done everything you can to secure your business, you'll need to prepare to respond to and contain privacy incidents. Create your plan for handling privacy incidents before the first one strikes. Assemble a privacy incident response team to monitor the situation, assess damage, and collect evidence. Make sure that this team will listen to and act on any incoming concerns from employees and customers. In the event of employee misconduct, establish guidelines for consistent and appropriate punishment. And finally, don't be lulled into complacency just because no internal or external attacker has targeted you yet.
