CAPS Business Recovery Services is a regional provider serving clients in the eastern US and is primarily focused on financial services. While this limits the appeal of CAPS's services for organizations outside of this geography, the CAPS business model is representative of other such regional providers, and the business model should be of interest to organizations seeking premium recovery services in all geographies. In contrast to traditional, shared-resource megacenters, CAPS appeals to clients with premium recovery needs. In some cases, recovery resources are fully dedicated, while in others there is very limited sharing of resources among a select set of clients. The value-add comes from the shared network, support services, and economies of scale used in provisioning a common but partitioned recovery facility.
