Executive Summary

Dynamic publishing — the ability to create content and repurpose it for the appropriate audience in the right medium — dramatically enhances an enterprise's ability to localize and deliver multichannel content. While dynamic publishing can enable faster time-to-market, ease content globalization efforts, and help leverage content for new uses, information and knowledge management (I&KM) pros had perceived these technologies as too complex to embrace. But with maturing technology, and the emergence and adoption of the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA), dynamic publishing now appeals to greater audiences. Producers of marketing materials, technical publications, contracts, and others types of content struggling to be more efficient with content reuse and multichannel output should begin incorporating dynamic publishing into their content strategies.
