Executive Summary

In January 2007 Forrester surveyed enterprise architects, IT planners, and IT strategists to get their take on the current state of enterprise architecture (EA) groups and initiatives in Europe. The survey yielded three key findings: 1) EA governance processes focus on technology and early project phases; 2) architects have only sporadic, irregular interaction with the business side; and 3) EA groups must improve their processes to effectively support IT organizations in their move toward service-oriented architecture and Digital Business Architecture.
