Executive Summary
Mobius Management Systems is a contender in the enterprise content management (ECM) suite landscape. The vendor's ECM suite, ViewDirect TCM, builds on core strength in COLD/ERM (computer output to laser disk/enterprise report management) with general-purpose document management (DM) and records management (RM), basic Web content management (WCM) capabilities, and comprehensive high-volume document imaging functionality. However, Mobius will have a difficult time competing in the ECM suite market without deepening its product portfolio, easing administrative burdens, embracing implementation partners, and aggressively addressing its lack of recognition in the ECM market. Mobius is a good fit for organizations with deep report management requirements and a need to complement that with ECM functionality in document imaging and records management for the processing and retention of fixed content.
