The Sonic Software service-oriented architecture (SOA) suite is a leader in the enterprise service bus (ESB) suite market today, in both market share and technology innovation. Sonic has been slow to embrace some of the latest Web services standards compared to fast movers like Cape Clear Software, but has the breadth of tools, management, and B2B support to meet a broad spectrum of requirements. As its support for newer Web services standards and Eclipse comes to market in early 2006, Sonic should be able to maintain its momentum and continue to be one of the vendors that define the ESB market. And Sonic continues to benefit from being a larger company with more market presence, delivering a solution that is meeting the needs of a broad part of the market.
